Alumina Powder Production in Iran Surpasses 138,000 Tonnes

TEHRAN – The Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) has reported that 
production of alumina powder in Iran reached 138,859 tonnes in seven months of the of the current Iranian calendar year.
The IMIDRO report added that the country’s seven-month production of alumina powder stood at 136,117 tonnes in the previous year.
Aluminum oxide, which is commonly called alumina, is an inert, odorless, white amorphous material often used in industrial ceramics.
The alumina sector, vital for Iran’s aluminium industry, continues to play a key role in the country’s industrial strategy. 
On the global stage, alumina prices have shown signs of strengthening, driven by supply constraints and increasing demand in the downstream aluminium markets.
