Popularity of Qur’anic Programs at Imam Reza Shrine Surges

TEHRAN -- The Imam Reza (AS) shrine has reported significant rise in its Qur’anic programs during the first six months of this year that started on March 21.
 Muhammad Moqumi, head of Dar-ol-Quran at the holy shrine, said more than 200,000 people participated in workshops focused on correcting prayer recitation and interpreting Qur’anic verses and Hadiths in the period.
Additionally, 24,692 visitors took part in 12,759 Khatm Qur’an plans, while 33,242 children benefited from the shrine’s Qur’anic workshops, he added.
Moqumi highlighted the organization of two prestigious Adhan workshops featuring renowned Qur’anic and musical experts. More than 270 Qur’an recitation sessions were held for the general public, including a special session for women named “Umm Abiha.”
During Ramadan, 1,318,000 people attended the shrine’s Qur’anic recitation ceremonies, and over 90 sessions were dedicated to children and teenagers, he added.
Live Qur’an recitations and Adhan were performed 1,248 times at the prescribed times of dawn, noon, and sunset, he said, adding that there were 582 sessions dedicated to Qur’anic teachings during Adhan, and 310 pages of the Qur’an were recited in a structured manner after the afternoon and evening prayers.
The shrine’s Qur’anic programs were also broadcast extensively, with over 16,000 hours of live Qur’anic content aired on national media during Ramadan, according to the official.
