Terrorists Attack Police on Day of Israeli Aggression

TEHRAN -- At least 10 police officers were martyred in a “terrorist attack” in an area of southeastern Iran, news agencies reported Saturday.
They were martyred during an attack on “police vehicles” in Gohar Kuh in Sistan-Baluchistan province’s Taftan county, the Mehr and Tasnim news agencies reported.
The official IRNA news agency, citing a police statement, reported the martyrdom of “10 personnel in two patrol units” in what it called an ambush.
The news agency said that Eskandar Momeni, the country’s interior minister, had ordered an investigation into the incident that it described as causing the “martyrdom of a number of police.”
The terrorist Jaish al-Adl claimed responsibility for the attack, which occurred some 1,200 kilometers (745 miles) southeast of the capital Tehran.
The terrorist group is supported by anti-Iran intelligence services including Israel’s Mossad and the CIA. The terrorist attack coincided with the Zionist regime’s pre-dawn aerial aggression against the Islamic Republic on Saturday.
Sistan-Baluchistan borders Pakistan and Afghanistan. The province has experienced recurring attacks by takfiri terrorists and drug traffickers.
Saturday’s attack was one of the deadliest attacks in the area in recent months.
In early October, at least six people, including police officers, were martyred in the province in two separate attacks.
The Pakistan-based terrorist group Jaish al-Adl claimed responsibility for the two attacks in a message on Telegram. Formed in 2012, the group is considered a “terrorist organization” by both Iran and the United States.
