Ghalibaf Urges Clear Stance on Israeli Genocide in Gaza

TEHRAN – Iran’s Parliament speaker Muhammad Bagher Ghalibaf says members of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) should take a clear stance on Israel’s genocide in Gaza and Lebanon and condemn the regime’s atrocities.
In a meeting with IPU President Tulia Ackson on the sidelines of the 149th Assembly of the union in Geneva, Ghalibaf said people across the world expect IPU states to exert political pressure on Israel to end its crimes in Palestine and Lebanon.
He said the region is currently in a difficult situation due to the ongoing developments, including the war between Russia and Ukraine and Israel’s aggression against Palestine and Lebanon.
Ghalibaf said when the Zionist regime, with direct U.S. support, violates all international and humanitarian

laws, no one can expect the establishment of peace and security.
He stressed the importance of addressing the Palestinian issue, saying participants at the IPU summit should take steps towards the adoption of a resolution given positive coordination among Arab, Muslim and Asian countries.
