Iran Squad Named for 2026 World Cup Qualifier
TEHRAN – Iran’s national football team head coach Amir Ghalenoei announced his 27-man list for two matches against Uzbekistan and Qatar on Monday.
Team Melli will play Uzbekistan on Thursday (October 10) in Bunyodkor Stadium in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Both teams are on six points, with Uzbekistan having defeated DPR Korea and Kyrgyzstan in their opening two matches while Iran was victorious against Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates in Group A.
Team Melli will host Qatar in Mashhad on October 15.
