British Oil Tanker Hit by Yemen’s Missiles, Drones in Red Sea
SANA’A (Dispatches) – Yemen says its armed forces have targeted a British oil vessel with cruise and ballistic missiles during a series of operations in the Red Sea on Tuesday. The country’s armed forces said in a statement that the oil tanker—CORDELIA MOON— was severely damaged after being struck with “eight ballistic and cruise missiles, a drone, and a drone boat.” A British maritime agency also confirmed the attack on the oil tanker, saying it was hit by a sea drone, puncturing a ballast tank. Another vessel, MARATHOPOLIS, which is registered and sailing under the flag of Malta, was struck in a separate operation in the Indian Ocean with a cruise missile, Yemen said.
