TEHRAN – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Kamenei says Israel and the United States have failed to subdue Hamas, emphasizing that the power of resistance shows itself day by day. 
“A mighty military, political, and economic power like the U.S. is supporting the usurping Zionist regime, and they are fighting a resistance group and yet they have been unable to bring it to its knees,” a post from the Leader in Hebrew published on X said.
The official website of the Leader added a video showing scenes of resistance operations in the Gaza Strip and support fronts in Lebanon, Iraq and Yemen.
The post came as Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the U.S. Congress and met with President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Since October 7, Israel has been waging a war on Gaza with U.S. support, killing about 40,000 Palestinians, mostly children and women, with more than 10,000 missing amid widespread destruction and a devastating famine.
A post published on the account earlier this week similarly underlined the Israeli regime’s failure in the face of the regional Axis of Resistance, noting how Tel Aviv was taking the frustration that it was suffering from the defeat out on Palestinian civilians.
The regime was venting the frustration by “dropping bombs on people, schools, hospitals, children, and women,” the post read, denouncing the atrocities as “the worst crimes” that were “being committed before the eyes of the world.”
