Russia, Iran, Azerbaijan Open Major Railway

TEHRAN – Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazrpash said Wednesday that Rasht-Caspian Railway as part of the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) will be inaugurated by interim president Muhammad Mokhber.
The ceremony will be held in the presence of Iran’s acting President Muhammad Mokhber, Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazrpash, Special Aide to the President of Russia Shahin Mustafayev, and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Igor Babushkin.
Located in Gilan Province in the north of Iran, the Rasht-Caspian railway project is part of the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), which connects the Persian Gulf to the Caspian Sea by rail. 
Elsewhere in his remarks to reporters, Bazrpash hailed the progress made in building homes for people during the late President Ebrahim Raeisi’s administration.
