TEHRAN – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei here Wednesday stressed the need to continue cooperation between Iran and Qatar in his meeting with the country’s Emir Sheikh Tamim ibn Hamad Al Thani. The Leader said the relationship between Iran and Qatar will remain strong. He touched on the regional situation and the enemies’ attempts to undermine stability and peace, saying the only viable path for the countries in the region is to pursue cooperation and unity.
Sheikh Tamim said relations between Iran and Qatar have always been strong and this path will continue, adding   there is no limit to expanding relations.  Prime Minister of Tunisia Ahmed Hachani also met with the Leader and extended his condolences over the martyrdom of President Raisi and his companions.
Ayatollah Khamenei later received Speaker of Lebanon’s parliament Nabih Berri, thanking Beirut for declaring three days of mourning in solidarity with Iran.
The Leader said he was confident the Iranian nation will use the bitter event as an opportunity, just as it has been done in the past years with difficult events.
Referring to the Gaza war, he said Lebanon’s operations against the Zionist regime in solidarity with the Palestinians have had a profound impact, the absence of which would have caused the greatest damage to Lebanon itself.
