Alamiyan Advances to Final of Olympic Qualification Games

TEHRAN – Iranian table tennis player Noshad Alamiyan cruised into the final of the 2024 Paris Table Tennis Qualification Tournament underway in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Alamiyan from Iran defeated his Uzbek rival Zokhid Kenjaev 4-0, advancing to the final of the sporting event.
Earlier, Alamiyan defeated his Uzbek rival Shokhrukh Iskandarov 4-0, advancing to the quarter-final of the sporting event. 
Tashkent is hosting the Paris-2024 Table Tennis Qualification Tournament from May 17-19. Previously in the opening match, he defeated his rival from Kyrgyzstan Iakupbaev Alisher 4-0.
Representatives from the Central Asian region are competing in the men’s and women’s singles competitions. The gold medalists of the tournament will earn spots at the Olympics.
A total of 18 athletes from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan are participating in the competition.
