Iran to Unveil New Nuclear Achievements
TEHRAN - Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Muhammad Eslami has announced that his country will unveil new nuclear achievements.
He said the unveiling will take place on April 8, which marks the National Day of Nuclear Industry in Iran.
Eslami also said, “In the field of nuclear industry, the Bushehr nuclear power plant has been placed at the top of the evaluation table of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO).”
He added, “In the World Association of Nuclear Operators which is called WANO and make evaluations annually, Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant has a record of production efficiency and has been placed at the top of the evaluation table.”
Iran’s 1,000-megawatt Bushehr was built by Russia after years of delay and officially handed over in September 2013.
Over the past years, Iran has recorded many achievements in its peaceful nuclear energy program in defiance of U.S. sanctions as well as hurdles created by the West.
