Fatemeh Amini Qualifies in Shooting for Olympic Games
TEHRAN – Iranian shooter Fatemeh Amini qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games on Wednesday.
She finished in sixth place in the women’s 10m air rifle with a score of 628.02 points in the Asian Championship 2024 Rifle/Pistol underway in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Nancy and Elavenil Valarivan of India won the gold and the silver medal respectively and China’s Yufan Shen seized the bronze.
Iranian athletes have previously won 12 berths in the Olympics.
This is the penultimate Paris Olympic qualification tournament which will offer quotas.
