Int’l Airlines Feature Iranian Movies for Inflight Entertainment
TEHRAN -- International airlines offer Iranian movies for inflight entertainment, Soureh Cinema Int’l says.
According to the director of the Soureh Cinema International, which is affiliated with the Surah Cinema organization in Iran, some international airlines have included Iranian films, including “Main Idea” directed by Azita Moguie, as part of their in-flight entertainment offerings.
Elahe Tahaee said Turkish and Emirates airlines are among the airlines making Iranian movies available to passengers during a flight.
She noted that airlines from Muslim countries have their own set of guidelines when it comes to selecting films.
The compatibility of Iranian movies with these criteria has the potential to open up a profitable market for Iranian directors, as they could now present their films to airlines for inclusion in their inflight entertainment, subsequent to both public and online screenings in Iran.
