‘U.S. Actively Aiding Genocide of Palestinians’
TEHRAN -- Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said Friday the U.S. aid to Israel and political cover for the Zionist regime show America is actively contributing to the genocide of the Palestinian nation.
“America has proven that it is still a determining part of the continuation of the all-out conflict, war crimes and genocide against the Palestinian nation and not part of the solution to the crisis,” Kanaani wrote in a post on the X.
He touched on the U.S. House’s passage of a $14.3 billion aid package for the Zionist regime, visits by American officials to Occupied Palestine and their opposition to a ceasefire there.
The spokesman said the United States has used up all its credit to save the Zionist regime from defeat, but God has ordained victory for the Palestinian nation.
“It is glaringly evident that the United States, alongside a limited number of countries, has effectively taken hostage the United Nations and the Security Council, prioritizing the interests of the racist and criminal Israeli regime at the expense of international peace, security, and human rights,” Kanaani wrote separately Thursday.
He said the supporters of the Zionist regime are complicit in its “war crimes” in Gaza.
“The culpability of the authorities within these governments is as substantial as that of the Zionist regime in the perpetration of these egregious war crimes in Gaza, necessitating their accountability.”
Kanaani said the Israeli strike on the Bureij refugee camp, marking the third bombing of a camp in as many days which killed at least 15 people, “vividly showcases the depth of the atrocities and loss of life.”
“The overwhelming majority of countries, governments, and global nations are calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities and an end to the wanton and destructive assaults perpetrated by the Zionist regime against the defenseless Gazans.
“Notably, this plea is echoed universally, save for the American government and a select few European governments, persistently engaging in interventions under the false pretext of championing human rights,” Kanaani said.
