Resistance Warns U.S. Over Intervention

Ayatollah Sistani: All Muslims Should Help Palestine Reclaim Usurped Rights

BAGHDAD (Dispatches) – Iraq’s top Shia cleric Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani has urged all Muslims across the world to help the Palestinian people amid the Zionist regime’s relentless strikes on the Gaza Strip.
“We call on all Muslims to come to the assistance of the Muslim people of Palestine [and] respond to their loud cries for help,” the senior cleric said in a message.
Grand Ayatollah Sistani also urged all Muslims to do their utmost to “deter the aggressors,” reclaim the usurped rights of Palestinians, and save them from the occupying regime’s onslaught.
He added that the Islamic land of Palestine should be saved from “usurping aggressor.”
Calling up an unprecedented 300,000 reservists, the Zionist regime has declared a long war on Gaza in response to Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which started on Saturday.
The resistance fighters say they have waged the operation against the occupying regime in response to its decades-long campaign of bloodshed and destruction against Palestinians.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the death toll from the Zionist attacks on the besieged territory has exceeded 700, including 140 children and 105 women, with nearly 3,900 others injured.
Senior Iraqi and Yemeni leaders have threatened to target U.S. interests if Washington intervenes to support the Zionist regime in the ongoing conflict in the occupied territories.
The comments come amid strong support by the United States for the Zionist regime’s response to the attacks and a U.S. pledge to rapidly provide additional munitions to the occupying regime and deploy a carrier strike group to the Eastern Mediterranean.
In Yemen, the leader of the powerful Ansarullah movement warned on Tuesday that the group would respond to any U.S. intervention in Gaza with drones, missiles and other military options.
He said the group was ready to coordinate intervention with other members of the Axis of Resistance in Iraq and Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement, which has already entered the fray.
In Iraq, Hadi Al-Amiri, a powerful Iraqi politician in the cross-party alliance backing the Baghdad government, also warned would target American assets, in comments made during a tribal gathering in the capital.
“If they intervene, we would intervene...If the Americans intervened openly in this conflict..., we will consider all American targets legitimate..., and we will not hesitate to target it,” al-Amiri said on Monday.
