Climber Reza Alipour Claims Gold Medal

TEHRAN – Reza Alipour helped Iran clinch gold medal tennis in speed climbing field on Tuesday at the 2022 Asian Games underway in China’s Hangzhou.
Alipour, nicknamed the ‘Persian Cheetah’, defeated his Chinese rival, and won the title with a time at the final stage by submitting a record of 5.302 seconds.

Rasouli, Hadadi Win Gold, Silver in Discus Throwing
Iranian discus throwers Houssein Rasouli and Ehsan Hadadi won a gold and a silver medal, respectively in the event on Monday.
Rasouli, 24, claimed his first Asian Games gold medal with a throw of 62.04 meters.
Hadadi, four-time Asian Games gold medal winner came second with 61.82 meters.
China’s Tuergong Abuduaini took the bronze with 61.19 meters.
Azarang Collects Gold

Sadegh Azarang of Iran claimed a gold medal in Kurash in the Asian Games.
He defeated South Korean Mingyu Kim 10-0 in the final of the men’s -90kg in Hangzhou.
Azarang had defeated players from India and Turkmenistan in the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds.

Hediye Kazemi Gets Bronze at Kayak Single 500m

Female Iranian rower Hediye Kazemi has won a bronze medal in the women’s kayak single 500-meter contests at the ongoing 19th edition of the Asian Games in China.
The Iranian sportswoman crossed the line with a time of 2:00.635 minutes, and claimed the third spot at the end of the competitions at the Fuyang Water Sports Center in the eastern Chinese city of Hangzhou on Tuesday.
Li Dongyin of China won the gold with 1:58.931, and Singaporean paddler Jiexian Stephenie Chen came second with 2:00.074.

Water Polo Team Beats
South Korea

Iran’s men’s water polo team emerged victorious over South Korea 15-4 on Monday in the Asian Games.
Team Melli are scheduled to play Thailand and China in Group A in the following days, respectively.
Kazakhstan Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore are in Group B.
A record high of nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories compete across 40 sports in the Asian Games.
Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
