Data: 35.5bn Worth of Goods Traded in Q1
TEHRAN – Iran traded $35.5 billion worth of goods in the first four months of the Persian year which began on March 21, figures released by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Customs Administration (IRICA) showed.
Iran exported some 45.75 million tonnes of goods in the period, up 28.5% year-on-year.
Some 11.84 million tonnes of goods worth $19.53 billion were also imported which showed a 6.18% and 10.8% percent rise in terms of volume and value, respectively.
China, Iraq, Turkiye, the UAE and India were the top five destinations for Iranian products accounting for 75% in terms of value and 76% in weight in the period.
The UAE, China, Turkiye, India and Germany were also the top five importers of goods to Iran in the period under review.
