TEHRAN -- The world’s highest bungee jumping platform at Tehran’s Milad Tower became a major attraction, captivating both curious locals and enthusiastic visitors.
The adrenaline-pumping site which is standing tall at a staggering height of 280 meters now surpasses by 47 meters the previous record-holder - a Chinese bungee jumping platform, located in Macau Tower.
Footage filmed on Thursday showcases the training provided by the coaches to the participants on the jumping platform. From teaching proper techniques to offering guidance and support, the instructors prepare each individual for an unforgettable experience.
Among the group of coaches leading the jumpers is Romania, who claims her position as one of Iran’s first female bungee jumping coaches. With over ten months of experience, the woman accompanies female jumpers, ensuring they have a safe and exhilarating leap.
“I have been doing this for 10-11 months. I accompany female jumpers in order to let them experience a good jump. Approximately 150-200 people jump,” she said.
Another fan of extreme sports Alireza shared his excitement, saying that bungee jumping ‘never gets old’.
“It [jumping] gives me very unique excitement. It feels like flying. The golden time of the jump is when you jumped and you are falling before the elastic keeps you and makes you feel safe,” the man added.
Milad Tower, at an impressive 436 meters, not only serves as the backdrop for this remarkable bungee jumping experience but also claims the title of the tallest structure in Iran and the sixth-tallest tower in the world.
With its stunning views and the daring adventure to offer, it places Tehran on the global adventure tourism landscape.
