TEHRAN -- Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Muhammad Mehdi Esmaeili says that over 500 Persian works have been translated into various languages.
Speaking to IRNA on the sidelines of 34th Tehran International Book Fair, Esmaeili said the introduction of Iran’s achievements in history and culture and those of the Islamic Revolution as well as issues related to the Sacred Defense are on the agenda
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and President Ebrahim Raisi have called for the translation of Persian works.
The 34th edition of the Tehran International Book Fair is being held in the Iranian capital under the slogan of “Future is worth reading.”
Some 200 booksellers, 100 foreign publishers and 2,700 domestic publishers participated in the prestigious event that will be underway until May 20.
