Khorramshahr Victory Precursor to Liberation of Qods & Palestine

Forty-one years ago when the Father of the Islamic Revolution remarked “God liberated Khorramshahr”, he meant to impart a lasting message to the Iranian nation that such great victories materialize through Divine Support for the selfless endeavours of those who are neither fearful of the might of the enemy nor feel proud of their prowess.
The words of Imam Khomeini (RA) continue to inspire all pious and patriotic people and are the key factors for the Islamic Republic’s spectacular achievements in the face of the intense terrorism of the US, who as chief criminal of Saddam’s 8-year war of the 1980s, had propped up the Ba’thist invaders and tried to make Iranians despondent of ever liberating the strategic southwestern port city.
The return of Khorramshahr to Iran as a result of the relentless resistance of the Iranian forces, who offered martyrs to decisively defeat Washington and its agents, was hailed yesterday as a “miraculous victory” by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, while recalling the epics of the 1980s.
In other words, the celebration of the liberation of Khorramshahr has continued to be a prime factor in Iran’s progress and its self-sufficiency in almost all spheres, including defence, while influencing freedom-loving people in the region and beyond to heroically stand against the plots of the enemies of humanity, such as the illegal Zionist entity.
The influence of the triumph at Khorramshahr on 24th May 1982, is not limited to the battlefields and the mobilization of resistance forces to dauntlessly carry on their struggle in the face of heavy odds with firm faith in God, but also covers economy, industry, culture, science, technology, medicine, and diplomacy.
No wonder, it is Divine Support that ensures Iran’s progress in mastering the nuclear fuel cycle for peaceful use, and of course, the defeat of the US and its comrades-in-crimes against humanity, in trying to deprive the Islamic Republic of its inalienable right.
It was this indomitable spirit of the liberation of Khorramshahr that made the Iranian navy achieve the round-the-world voyage – the first by a Muslim country – and this same spirit, with trust in God’s promise, has boosted Iran’s efforts to explore outer space.
To sum up, without the least doubt we are indebted to the Almighty God’s liberation of Khorramshahr, and our unstoppable struggle with full confidence in Divine Support will one day bring back our illegally frozen assets from abroad, will encourage us to end the unwarranted presence of American forces in our neighbourhood, and of course, will lead to the liberation of al-Aqsa Mosque and the eventual obliteration of Israel as was the case with the repressive Ba’thist minority regime of Iraq.
