Whither Human Rights
Salaam dear young friends. How are you all, hope you are all fine by the grace of Almighty Lord.
As our readers know, world temperatures have risen and we are experiencing torrid days in different parts of the world.
This is all due to the greenhouse gasses released in the atmosphere by the criminal regimes of our industrial era, which have no regard for human health and destruction of the global environment. If these environmental terrorists do not stop their destructive policies, Planet Earth will become a desolate place with few survivors.
Morals have broken down the world over with humans turning into devils. You have all heard about the tragic incident in the occupied land of Palestine, where young and old are being brutally killed by bloodthirsty Zionists.
We cannot forget Sheikh Khader Adnan who was martyred last week after nearly three months of hunger strike over his illegal detention, or the latest air strike by the illegal entity on besieged Gaza in which more than 13 people, including six women and four children were martyred.
Sadly, this usurper entity which ought not to exist in the world is being supported by the super-terrorist of our age, the US, which feels no shame in threatening and intimidating Iran and other Muslim lands.
This is proof of the fact that our world despite the human rights declarations of the UN is devoid of humanitarian values. These secular concepts have reduced human beings to a worst state that is worse than that of animals. There is no human dignity in the modern world.
That was the reason, a quarter century on August 5, representatives of 57 Muslim countries assembled in Cairo, the Egyptian capital, to announce the Islamic Human Rights Declaration on the basis of Human Dignity.
International human rights declarations are mostly flawed because they do not take into account the sensibilities of spiritual values and religious beliefs; hence the need for the Islamic Human Rights Charter to resolve the problems of the modern world.
Human rights in Islam are based on two foundational principles: dignity and equality. Dignity is a fundamental right of every human being merely by virtue of his or her humanity. As God states in ayah 70 of Surah al-Isra of the Holy Qur’an:
“Certainly We have honoured the Children of Adam, and carried them over land and sea, and provided them with all the good things, and given them an advantage over many of those We have created with a complete preference.”
As for equality, God clearly declares that in His sight, the only distinguishing factors between humans are righteousness and piety. This is evident by ayah 13 of Surah al-Hujuraat, which says:
“O mankind! Indeed We created you from a male and a female, and made you nations and tribes that you may identify yourselves with one another. Indeed the noblest1 of you in the sight of Allah is the most Godwary among you. Indeed Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.”
This is ample proof of the fact that Islam attaches value to human life and dignity, and defines the rights of men, women, and children. It means wherever these basic humanitarian values are absent, mankind turns into Zionists or Takfiris, who are devils incarnate, despite their empty claims to follow Judaism or Islam.
God bless you all, goodbye till next week.
