‘Roya’ to Compete in Italian Festival
TEHRAN -- Iranian short film ‘Roya’ has made it to the 2023 edition of Wag Film Festival in Italy.
The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Roya’ will take part in the eighth edition of Wag Film Festival.
‘Roya’, directed by Muhammad-Reza Muhammadi, is about a young Afghan couple who tries to illegally enter Europe but faces various challenges.
‘Roya’ was awarded at several festivals, including the Five Continents International Film Festival in Venezuela.
The upcoming edition of Wag Film Festival will take place on May 11-14.
The theme of this year’s edition of the festival is “The Value of Small Things”.
