Czech Festival to Screen ‘Katvoman’
TEHRAN -- Iranian short film ‘Katvoman’ has made it to the 63rd edition of the Zlin Film Festival in the Czech Republic.
Media reports said ‘Katvoman’ will take part in the Zlin Dog section, an International Competition of Student Films, of the Zlin Film Festival.
The film, written and directed by Hadi Sheibani, is inspired by the fictional character of Catwoman.
“Katvoman has become weak to the extent that she cannot save people anymore,” a synopsis for the film reads.
‘Katvoman’ received its world premiere at the 20th Molise Cinema Film Festival in Italy.
The film was also awarded at the 58th edition of the International Amateur Film Festival of Kelibia in Tunisia.
The Zlin Film Festival is an international film festival for children and youth. It is one of the oldest and largest events of its kind worldwide.
The upcoming edition of the festival will take place on June 1-7.
