President Raisi Urges Necessity for Muslim Countries to Converge Against Zionists

THEHRAN - Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi in a phone call with Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, has called for convergence and consensus among Muslim countries to support Palestine and condemn the Zionist regime’s acts of aggression against Palestinians.
“Convergence and consensus among Muslim countries in support of the issue of Palestine and condemnation of the Zionist regime’s acts of aggression, especially the savage measures of this regime at al-Aqsa Mosque and against Palestinian worshippers, is very important and necessary,” Iran’s president said.
Zionist forces have wounded and rounded up hundreds of Palestinians during the attacks that have seen a rise since the beginning of the fasting month of Ramadan. Illegal Zionist settlers have been freely violating the compound under the Zionist military and police force’s protection.
A symbol of unity in the Muslim world, al-Quds is a common heritage for followers of Islam, Christianity and Judaism.
Al-Quds Day is celebrated annually all over the world after being designated by the late founder of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in 1979. It is a day of international solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Zionists’ recent acts of violence at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound have drawn global denunciations.
Zionist forces have wounded and rounded up hundreds of Palestinians during the attacks that have seen a rise since the beginning of the fasting month of Ramadan. Illegal Zionist settlers have, meanwhile, been freely violating the compound under the Zionist military and police force’s protection.
On April 6, at least 30 rockets were launched from southern Lebanon into the Zionist -occupied territories in retaliation for the Zionist aggression against al-Aqsa Mosque. Resistance fighters based in Gaza also fired several rockets toward the occupied territories.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Raisi said Iran’s foreign policy is based on the expansion and strengthening of relations with all countries, particularly Muslim nations.
The Iranian president expressed hope that Tehran and Dhaka would further promote cooperation, particularly in trade and economic fields.
The Bangladeshi premier, for her part, censured Israel’s criminal acts against the fasting Palestinian people and said support for the oppressed Palestinian nation and condemnation of the Tel Aviv regime’s brutality are among her country’s unwavering stance.
Earlier in a phone call with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday, President Raisi called on Muslim countries to form a united front in order to stop the Zionist regime’s criminal acts against Palestinians.
