Islamic Jihad: Tens of Thousands of Resistance Rockets Surround Zionist Regime
BEIRUT (Dispatches) – The secretary general of the Islamic Jihad resistance movement has said that tens of thousands of rockets in Gaza and Lebanon surround the Zionist regime, amid ongoing escalations by the occupying regime against the Palestinian people.
In an interview with Iraqi TV on Sunday, Ziad al-Nakhala confirmed that the Palestinian people are in a state of all-out confrontation with the occupation, especially in the occupied West Bank.
The Islamic Jihad leader stressed that the escalation of the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank posed a direct threat to the security of the Zionist entity.
On April 6, at least 30 rockets were reportedly launched from southern Lebanon into the occupied territories in retaliation against the Zionist aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque. Resistance fighters based in Gaza also fired several rockets toward the occupied territories.
Zionist troops have wounded and rounded up hundreds of Palestinians during the attacks that have seen a rise since the beginning of the fasting month of Ramadan. Zionist settlers have, meanwhile, been freely violating the compound under the Israeli military and police force’s protection.
Al-Nakhala said that the resistance in the West Bank and Gaza and the resistance forces in the region formed a state of deterrence in the face of the occupation, stressing that “tens of thousands of resistance rockets surrounded the Israeli entity in Gaza and Lebanon.”
“The Israeli entity has begun to feel the balance of power due to the balance of deterrence imposed by the resistance,” he added.
Touching on International Quds Day, al-Nakhala said that the day “is an expression of the will of the Islamic nation to liberate Palestine,” adding, “Imam Khomeini was inspired when he declared the last Friday of Ramadan as the International Quds Day.”
Meanwhile, a Hezbollah official has said the resistance has become a deterrent power that prevents the Zionist regime from committing any foolishness, and prompts it to think a thousand times before carrying out any aggression.
Hezbollah’s Loyalty to the resistance bloc member, Hassan Ezzedine, said on Sunday that International Quds Day hammered the first nail in the coffin of the occupying regime, asserting that this “cancerous tumor” must be eradicated.
In a ceremony to mark the Quds Day in the Lebanese city of Nabatiyeh, south of Lebanon, Ezzedine said “International Quds Day has become a major day for the greater resistance front, a major day for the greater resistance front; an axis that extends from Iran to Palestine and includes the peoples, political factions and different resistance groups.”
He noted that the resistance and its axis are now working diligently and responsibly to prevent the enemy from taking control over any area.
