Ministry: Renewable Power Capacity Up 0.9% in March
TEHRAN – Iran’s Ministry of Energy has reported that the capacity of Iran’s renewable power generations increased by 0.9% in the calendar month to late March 2023 compared to the previous month.
According to the latest statistics announced by Iran’s Ministry of Energy, the capacity of Iran’s wind power plants reached 354.89 megawatts (MW) while solar power capacity in the country increased to 449.55 MW in late March 2023.
The figures showed that total capacity of renewables in Iran, including from small hydroelectric and biomass plants, reached 1,038.03 megawatts in March, an increase of 0.9% compared to the calendar month to late February.
