Seven Culture Ministers to Attend Qur’an Exhibition in Tehran

TEHRAN – The head of the 30th
edition of the Tehran International Holy Qur’an Exhibition said the Awqaf and culture ministers of seven countries will visit the Qur’anic event.
Speaking at a press conference here, Ali Reza Moaf said the exhibition will be held at the Imam Khomeini Mosalla (prayer hall) from April 1-15.
It will be open to visitors every day from 5 PM to 1 AM, the official stated, noting that 400 programs are planned to be held at the international Quranic event.
Among them is a gathering to honor Qur’an servants, which will be attended by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, he added.
According to Moaf, those serving the Qur’an in eight specialized fields will be introduced and honored at the gathering.
During a ceremony at the exhibition, the National Center for Translation of Quran will also be inaugurated, he further said.
He said the area devoted to the exhibition has increased from last year’s 50,000 square meters to 75,000 square meters this year.
Referring to the international aspect of the expo, Moaf said 22 countries have voiced readiness to take part in the Quranic event and the Awqaf and culture ministers of 7 countries will also visit the exhibition.
He quoted the Supreme Cultural Revolution Council as saying that the exhibition is the largest Qur’anic event in Iran and one of the major Qur’anic events in the Muslim world, hailing the fact that it has reached the 30th edition this year, which shows the efforts of all Iranian administrations to promote the Holy Quran.
“I Read You” is the motto of this year’s exhibition, which highlights the importance of continually reading the Holy Quran.
The Tehran International Qur’an Exhibition is annually organized by the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan, with the aim of promoting Qur’anic concepts and developing Quranic activities.
It showcases the latest Qur’anic achievements in the country as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
