RAMALLAH (Dispatches) – The occupying regime has released the oldest Palestinian prisoner in the Zionist regime’s jails after 17 years behind bars. Fuad al-Shubaki, 83, was set free from Ashkelon prison in central part of the occupied territories and was transferred by an ambulance to the Tarqumia checkpoint, west of Al-Khalil city, where he was welcomed by his family. In his first comments after his release, al-Shubaki called for the release of Palestinian prisoners from the Zionist regime’s jails. According to Palestinian figures, there are 4,780 Palestinians held by the regime, including 160 children and 29 female inmates.
