TEHRAN -- The Short Film Awards - The SOFIES in the U.S. has bestowed an award upon Iranian short flick ‘The Last Dance with the Persian Cheetah’.
Written, produced and directed by Muhammad-Reza Rahmani, the short flick has grabbed the best short narrative award at the 8th edition of the U.S. event, iFilm reported.
The film tells the story of a curator who, on his last working day at the Wildlife and Nature Museum’s taxidermy department, will taxidermize the skin of an endangered Iranian cheetah.
Hassan Muhammad-Talebi is the cast member of ‘The Last Dance with the Persian Cheetah’.
The Cinema 4Way film distribution company is in charge of global distribution of the flick.
The SOFIES aims to honor the giants of Short Film. The event gives a voice and a global platform to the fearless and fiercely talented short filmmakers who share such meaningful, life-enriching and life-affirming stories.
The 2022 edition of the festival was held in November 15-17.
