TEHRAN (IFILM) -- Iranian short film ‘Gallu’ has been awarded at San Francisco’s Another Hole in the Head Film Festival in the United States.
The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Gallu’, directed by Kasra Tirsahar, won an audience award in the 19th edition of the American event.
Written by Ashkan Shariat, the film is about a rural man who accidently finds a piece of meat. And after cooking it, he notices its strange taste.
The man crazily searches for another meat that tastes the same, but the quest unleashes a series of catastrophes.
Another Hole in the Head Film Festival “seeks broader horizons than the common interpretation of ‘genre film’ allows”, the festival’s website reads, adding “All styles of independent film are welcome to compete”, including “a major production from a professional company, and a student film”, etc.
