Palestinian Resistance Warns Zionists of Harsh Response Amid Rising Tensions
WEST BANK (Dispatches) – The Palestinian resistance group Lions’ Den has warned the Zionist regime of surprise and unprecedented retaliatory attacks as the occupying regime continues its acts of violence against Palestinians across the occupied West Bank.
“If the residents of the holy city of Al-Quds rise up against the occupation (the Zionist regime), we would be able to turn the tables on aggressors and strike fear into the hearts of cruel Zionists,” the Nablus-based group wrote in an Arabic post published on its Telegram channel.
The Lions’ Den hailed the recent wave of retaliatory operations in the occupied Al-Quds and paid homage to brave Palestinian resistance fighters who carry them out.
“Zionists should know that the blessed land of Palestine will turn into their graveyard. They should realize that they have no place in our homeland,” the resistance group noted.
It called upon all Palestinians to unite and implement resistance operations.
“We are telling [Zionist prime minister Benjamin] Netanyahu and his savage lap dog [far-right minister Itamar] Ben-Gvir that the weapons of armed illegal settlers will be recovered by our forces and later used in the struggle against the Occupation. We would then witness who will have the upper hand,” the Lions’ Den warned.
Zionist troops launch raids on various cities of the occupied West Bank almost on a daily basis under the pretext of detaining “wanted” Palestinians. The raids usually lead to violent confrontations with residents.
Over the past months, the occupying regime has ramped up attacks on Palestinian towns and cities throughout the occupied territories. As a result of these attacks, dozens of Palestinians have lost their lives and many others have been arrested.
The number of Palestinian fatalities caused by the regime’s army this month has risen to 35, including eight children.
Meanwhile, the United Nations has marked 2022 as the deadliest year for Palestinians in the West Bank in 16 years.
A human rights group has warned about the alarming surge in killings committed by the Zionist regime against Palestinians, calling for the need to hold the illegal entity accountable and to end the regime’s decades-long impunity.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said in a report cited by Palestine’s official Wafa news agency on Monday that the recorded number of Palestinian deaths in the occupied West Bank increased by 82% in 2022 compared to 2021, and nearly fivefold (491%) compared to 2020.
In the report, titled “Pulling the trigger is the first resort,” the rights group said analysis of field data revealed that the majority of Palestinian fatalities were civilians killed by Zionist troops in “unjustified operations” where they “presented no imminent threat or danger” to the lives of Zionist troops or settlers.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas blamed the Zionist regime on Tuesday for the sharp escalation of violence in the West Bank as U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken urged calm on both sides.
Calling for “the complete cessation of unilateral Israeli actions, which violate the signed agreements and international law”, Abbas reiterated the Palestinians’ longstanding demand for the occupying regime to end its occupation.
