TEHRAN - Iran’s customs
office (IRICA) director MUhammad Rezvani says non-oil exports from the country rose to an all-time record of some $45.3 billion in the 10 months to January 20.
Rezvani said that exports from Iran in March-January had increased by 2.93% compared to the same previous period.
Rezvani said the $45.3 billion figure does not include Iran’s exports of crude oil as well as shipments of mazut, kerosene, technical and engineering exports, suitcase transfer of goods to other countries and exports of electricity.
He said average value per metric ton (mt) of exports from Iran had increased by $55 or 14.31% to $440 per mt year on year in March-January.
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was responsible for a large chunk of Iranian exports in the 10 months to late January, Rezvani told IRICA’s website, adding that LPG exports from Iran had amounted to $6.8 billion or some 15.4% of total exports from the country over the period.
China was the largest customer of Iranian export shipments in the March-January period with some $12.6 billion worth of purchases, followed by Iraq at $8.9 billion and Turkey at $6.6 billion, he said.
