TEHRAN - Iran’s Ambassador in Kabul Hassan Kazemi Qomi urged the United Nations to cooperate with Iran in rendering services for Afghan refugees.
Speaking in a meeting with Roza Isakovna Otunbayeva, special representative of the Secretary-General for Afghanistan and head of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, Qomi urged the United Nations to leverage all Iran’s capacities to help the people of Afghanistan and boost regional cooperation in solving the economic, social and educational problems of the Afghan people.
He offered Iran’s readiness to materialize Afghanistan’s capacities with the help and assistance of the United Nations.
The two sides discussed fighting terrorism and terrorist group like terrorist group of Daesh.
