TEHRAN – The Iranian athlete Faraz Shakiba has bagged a silver medal at the 2022 ITTF World Hopes Week & Challenge in France.
Iran’s teenager defeated opponents from the Philippines, USA, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Kazakhstan, Egypt, and New Zealand.
Shakiba conceded defeat against his Italian rival in the final.
Earlier, Iran’s sportswoman Vania Yavari snatched a bronze medal at the sporting event.
