IME Weekly Trade Tops 2.1mn Tonnes
TEHRAN – Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 2,077,181 tonnes of commodities and 10,155 vehicles with a total value of more than $813 million on its physical market in the last week.
The IME’s report said that on its metals and minerals trading floor over 1,715,839 tonnes of commodities including 860,447 tonnes of cement, 440,000 tonnes of iron ore, 356,207 tonnes of steel, 42,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 9,125 tonnes of aluminum, 8,500 tonnes of copper, 1,625 tonnes of zinc, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 13 kg of gold bars and 10,155 vehicles with total value of $597 were traded in the last week.
It also added that over 357,301 tonnes of oil and petrochemical commodities, including 134,857 tonnes of bitumen, 75,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 90,536 tonnes of polymeric products, 17,000 tonnes of lube cut, 31,930 tonnes of chemicals, 12,050 tonnes of sulfur, 4,665 tonnes of base oil, 500 tonnes of petroleum products and 200 tonnes of insulation with total value of $211 million were traded on its trading markets.
Commodities traded on this floor included The IME also traded within the same week 4,041 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
