Official Urges China to Speed Up Joint Projects

TEHRAN – Head of Iran-China Friendship Association Alaeddin Boroujerdi has stated that an upcoming visit by President Ebrahim Raisi to China will help speed up the implementation of a 25-year strategic partnership agreement between the two countries.
Iran expects China, a friendly and capable country, to take important steps in order to enhance relations, he said.
Boroujerdi said that the Iran-China Friendship Association is not satisfied with the current speed of cooperation programs, urging the two countries’ officials to accelerate the process.
The official also urged Chinese officials to invest in Iran’s development projects and help improve tourism industry in the Islamic nation.
As to the lifting of coronavirus-related restrictions in China, Boroujerdi expressed hope that the decision would lead to more cooperation and travel between the two countries.
The Iran-China Friendship Association, he said, had collaborated with the Chinese embassy in Tehran to prepare a software for proving thorough information about Iran’s tourist attractions in Chinese.
The implementation of the 25-year strategic partnership agreement can help carry out joint ventures in different fields such as transit, manufacturing, energy, economic, trade, and political fields, he said.
