IME Weekly Trade Exceeds 2.1mn Tonnes of Commodities

TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) –on Saturday reported that over 2,165,000 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than $950 million were traded on its physical market in the last week.
The IME’s report said that over 1,679,139 tonnes of metal and mineral commodities, including 1,006,174 tonnes of cement, 604,600 tonnes of steel, 83,000 tonnes of iron ore, 10,025 tonnes of aluminum, 8,035 tonnes of copper, 900 tonnes of zinc, 500 tonnes of lead, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 24 kg of gold bars and 10,792 vehicles with total value of $705 million were traded on its trading halls.
It also said that on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor, over 407,876 tonnes of commodities including 134,857 tonnes of bitumen, 98,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 96,649 tonnes of polymeric products, 39,390 tonnes of chemicals, 31,000 tonnes of lube cut, 6,075 tonnes of base oil, 1,800 tonnes of petroleum products and 955 tonnes of sulfur with total value of $223 million were traded in the alst week.
The IME also traded within the same week 78,279 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
