TEHRAN -- President Ebrahim Raisi on Wednesday submitted to parliament the draft budget for the Iranian calendar year 1402 which will start on March 21.

The bill was submitted more than a month before the legislative body is expected to vote on it. Addressing an open session of parliament, Raisi said the general guidelines of Iran’s Seventh Development Plan outlined by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei have been taken into account in the compilation of the new budget bill.
