Ancient Inscription Unearthed in Fars Province

TEHRAN (IRNA) --
Persepolis World Heritage Site announced on Wednesday that an ancient stone inscription was discovered in Tangeh Bolaghi region, Pasargad city in Fars province.
Persepolis World Heritage Site stated that the inscription dates back about 1,500 years, which dates back to the Sassanid era.
It is a dedication letter that informs the construction of a bridge, dam, and a blessing has been made for its creators.
This inscription is written in Pahlavi language on a stone in the dimensions of 90 x 40 cm, which is in the form of horizontal and vertical lines.
Tangeh Bolaghi is an archaeologically significant valley consisting of 130 ancient settlements, and it is located in Iran’s southern province of Fars, some 7 kilometers from Pasargadae, Iran.
