Tehran, Muscat Boost Marine Tourism
TEHRAN (IP) - The Director General of the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Department of Hormozgan Province, Southern Iran, reported that the Iran-Oman marine tourism passenger line would resume its activity.
Mohammad Mohseni said on Saturday that the development of the marine tourism line between Oman and Iran is to go forward with regard to cultural and social affinities, with a focus on Hormozgan province and Musandam province of Oman.
Mohseni said that the development of the Iran-Oman marine tourism passenger line would pave the way for further investments of the two countries’ businessmen.
Iran-Oman relations in the last few decades have always been based on mutual respect and interests, despite the tensions in the Persian Gulf and the U.S. efforts to intensify Iranophobia in the region.
Omani officials believe that close relations with Iran are based on realism and consider Iran a great neighbor to the country.
The two countries have no dispute over territorial and border issues.
