IME Trades 10mn Tonnes of Commodities in a Month
TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 10,931,107 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than $3 billion were traded on its domestic and exporting halls in the last month.
The IME’s report said that on both domestic and export pits of its oil and petrochemical trading floor, over 1,791,743 tonnes of commodities, including over 526,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 491,023 tonnes of bitumen, 419,853 tonnes of polymeric products, 157,696 tonnes of chemicals, 120,500 tonnes of lube cut, 41,000 tonnes of sulfur, 23,788 tonnes of oil, 9,632 tonnes of petroleum products, 1,200 tonnes of insulation and 1,050 tonnes of feedstocks with total value of $991 million were traded in its markets
The report added over 9,133,701 tonnes of metals and minerals commodities, including 4,592,219 tonnes of cement, 2,199,000 tonnes of iron ore, 1,784,395 tonnes of steel, 340,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 131,650 tonnes of zinc, 31,175 tonnes of aluminum, 24,731 tonnes of copper, 2,000 tonnes of cast iron, 750 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 100 tonnes of lead, 36 tonnes of precious metals concentrate and 272 kg of gold bars with total value of $2 billion were traded on its trading halls.
It’s worth noting that the IME also traded 13,686 vehicles on its automobile trading floor.
