Book on Tehran-Lisbon Historical Relations Unveiled at Ceremony
TEHRAN (IBNA) -- The book, ‘Unity and Friendship: A Look at 500 Years of Historical Relations Between Iran and Portugal’ was unveiled at a ceremony held at the National Archive of Torre do Tombo in Lisbon.
The ceremony was attended by several Portuguese cultural, political officials and members of the Iranian Embassy in Lisbon as both Portuguese and Persian versions of the book were unveiled.
With the original title ‘Liga e Amizade: Um olhar sobre os 500 anos de relacoes historicas entre o Irao e Portugal’, the book features articles presented at a seminar organized in October 8 and 9, 2020, at the National Archive of Torre do Tombo in cooperation with the Embassy of Iran.
‘Unity and Friendship’ has been compiled by the ambassador of Iran to Lisbon Morteza Damanpak Jami and translated into Portuguese by the Iranian translator Shahin Alaghebandan. The Portuguese version has been released in 280 pages and the Persian version in 276 pages. 500 copies of both books have been produced.
Following the event, both versions of the book were unveiled and signed versions were presented to a number of attendants.
