TEHRAN -- The National
Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran’s parliament n Saturday condemned an interventionist statement issued by the South Korean parliament in support of rioters and terrorist elements, requesting Iran’s ministry of foreign affairs to review relations with the country.
“This action of the parliament comes while the Republic of South Korea has long blocked assets and huge financial resources belonging to the people of Iran in line with the anti-Iranian policies of the White House and refuses to return them to the Islamic Republic of Iran,” it said.
The statement touched on South Korea’s inhuman denial of vaccines and other vital medicine at the peak of the coronavirus to the Iranian people in line with Washington’s hostile policies toward the Islamic Republic.
“The continuation of Seoul’s anti-Iranian policies in line with the actions of the White House against the Iranian nation will definitely affect relations between the two countries in various fields and the Iranian parliament will take the necessary measures as per its legal and regulatory capacities to fulfill the rights of the Iranian nation,” it said.
