More Awards for Applauded ‘Roya’ at Polish Event

TEHRAN (IFILM) -- The Euroshorts Young Filmmakers international film festival in Poland has awarded Iranian short flick ‘Roya’.
Directed by Mohammad-Reza Mohammadi, the short film has grabbed the Marcin Stachurskiego award for the best young producer at the 31st edition of the Polish event. The award is worth 1000 PLN.
The film is about a young Afghan couple who try to illegally enter Europe, but they have to face various challenges.

The Euroshorts’s most essential principle is “to promote and support young filmmakers – and all screenings of fiction, documentary, animation, experimental films and creative commercials serve that very purpose”, website of the event reads.
The Euroshorts is open to all short films which are “original, beautiful and powerful, including first films and student films”.
This year’s event took place on November 28-December 4.
