IME Weekly Trade Exceeds $720 Million
TEHRAN – The Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) on Saturday reported that over 3,038,357 tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of nearly $728 million, logging growths of 31% and 33% in volume and value of trades compared with the week before that.
The IME’s report said that, over 2,753,947 tonnes of metal and mineral commodities including, 1,125,905 tonnes of cement, 845,000 tonnes of iron ore, 664,938 tonnes of steel, 66,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 36,700 tonnes of zinc, 9,200 tonnes of aluminum, 6,579 tonnes of copper, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate, 100 kg of gold bars and 40 vehicles with total value of $551 million were traded on the IME’s trading halls in the last week.
It also added that on both domestic and export pits of its oil and petrochemical trading floor, over 281,422 tonnes of commodities including 92,681 tonnes of polymeric products, 78,000 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 8,500 tonnes of lube cut, 37,297 tonnes of chemicals, 15,520 tonnes of sulfur, 5,311 tonnes of base oil and 42,872 tonnes of bitumen with total value of $174 million were traded in the last week.
The IME also traded within the same week 2,989 tonnes of commodities on its side market.
