Paragon Par-Excellence for All Virtuous Ladies and Girls

Salaam dear young friends. Heartfelt condolences to you all on the anniversary of a very doleful day. Tomorrow is 13th of Jamadi al-Awwal, the day on which, according to a narration, the Noblest-Ever Lady left the world a martyr, seventy-five days after the passing away of her Illustrious Father.
She was none other than Hazrat Fatema Zahra (SA), the Immaculate Daughter of the Almighty’s Last and Greatest Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (SAWA).
Most of us are clad in black to commemorate this tragedy, while mourning ceremonies are underway at mosques, hussainiyahs, and homes, as well as at offices, and on radio and TV channels.
The discourses on the life and times of this Great Lady who was martyred in the prime of her youth while defending the “wilayah” or divinely-decreed right of leadership of her Infallible Husband, Imam Ali ibn Abi Taleb (AS), enlighten us, especially children and youngsters, on the dynamic personality of this paragon par-excellence of virtue.
She left behind four young children – two sons and two daughters – and had instilled in them the essence of faith and humanitarian values to such an extent that on growing up, Imam Hasan (AS), Imam Husain (AS), Hazrat Zainab (SA) and Hazrat Omm Kolthoum, in their own unique way, left as lasting legacy for mankind the bezels of wisdom, courage, magnanimity, honesty, modesty, piety, patience, steadfastness, and devotion to the commandments of the One and Only Creator.
In Islamic societies, whether in Iran or any other country, the fact that women and young girls – at schools, colleges, offices, recreation centres, and in all public places – observe the freedom of Hijab, is ample proof of their sense of liberty in its real sense, which is too great a treasure to be squandered on the altar of slavery to the depraved culture of the West.
Yes, dear sisters and nieces, maintain and safeguard these qualities that are passwords to the opening of the gates of paradise.
Well dear friends, particularly our youthful readers of Kayhan International’s Weekly Children’s Page, Iran is covered in white these days, thanks to the heavy snowfall the country has experienced over the past few days.
More snow is expected in the coming days. People of all age groups, especially children and youngsters, are enjoying the snows and the scenic appearance of parks and the hillocks, where skiers are having great times on the picturesque slopes.
God bless you all and good-bye till next week.
