The Islamic Republic is continuing its positive role in the region to ensure peace and removal of tensions between countries, unfazed by the mischief of a frustrated US, whose imagination is running wild these days with a conjured up uprising in Iran and phantom protestors – all of which confined to the social media with no physical existence on the ground.
Syria, whose legitimate government Washington has failed to overthrow despite a relentless almost 12-year campaign through the missile and air attacks of the illegal Zionist entity and the crimes of the most macabrely murderous terrorists armed with the most sophisticated armaments including chemical weapons, stands firm and steadfast today, thanks to the patriotism of its people and armed forces.
Iran, whose advisory role in Syria helped defeat the American-Zionist-Arab plot to dismember it, plays a vital role in convincing Turkey of the dangers of being trapped in Syria’s Kurdish populated north through an unwarranted invasion.
This was evident during yesterday’s phone conversation between Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and his Turkish counterpart, Mevlud Chavushoghlu, who was informed of Tehran’s full understanding of Ankara’s security concerns and the need to ease them through dialogues with Syria.
As pointed out by Amir-Abdollahian “military operations not only cannot resolve any of the problems but also create losses and further complicate the situation.”
The Turkish foreign minister appreciated Iran’s constructive approach – an indication that Ankara is open to diplomacy with its southern neighbour, where the malicious Americans are playing a dangerous game detrimental to not just Syria and Turkey but to the interests of the much-exploited peace-loving Kurdish people amongst whom the US supports only criminals and terrorists.
The day Turkey and Syria resolve their foreign-engineered tensions, peace and solidarity will certainly return to the region and strengthen the Axis of Resistance, of which Uncle Sam and the Zionists are scared to death, and are indulging in all sorts of ballyhoo against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Iran, however, thanks to the support of the multimillion strong masses to its wise policies, is the least concerned of the self-defeatist plots of the Great Satan and its devilish disciples, and is resolved to find ways for protection of Syria’s airspace from the frequent unprovoked Israeli attacks.
In this regard, the Islamic Republic’s Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations has laid emphasis on Syria’s “legitimate right” to self-defence in the face of the Zionist entity’s intermittent attacks.
Amir-Saeed Iravani, in his address on Tuesday in New York at the meeting of the Security Council, made it clear the complete preservation of and respect for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Syria and the Zionist entity are technically at war due to the latter’s 1967-to-present occupation of the southern parts of the Golan Heights, where Israel has a significant military presence and uses it for attacks on Syrian territory.
The strengthening of the air defences of Syria is thus of vital importance and Iran will certainly help the brotherly Muslim people of the Levant in this regard, and has high hopes that in the near future, Turkey in line with the Islamic aspirations of its people and their deep attachment to the holy sites in Occupied Palestine, will join.
