Iranian Company Produces Anesthetic Drug Ketamine
TEHRAN (IRNA) – The CEO of Exir Pharmaceutical Company in Iran’s Borujerd, Saman Gholami, said that Ketamine - as a dissociative anesthetic used medically for induction and maintenance of anesthesia- was produced and released on the market for the first time in Iran by Exir Pharmaceutical Company.
Gholami said that Ketamine as an anesthetic medicine is used for anesthesia and special care in hospitals, and now the medicine is produced by this company, and presently there is no need to import it anymore.
He added that this medicine was produced after a year of research with the efforts of Exir Pharmaceutical Company in Iran’s Borujerd.
The CEO of Exir Pharmaceutical Company in Iran’s Borujerd added that the production line of this drug was launched for the first time in Iran and in the first phase, 20,000 vials of “Ketamine” were produced, and another 20,000 vials were produced and ready to enter the market.
Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic used medically for induction and maintenance of anesthesia.
