Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company Invests $1bn to Collect APG
TEHRAN -- The CEO of Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company Sepahdar Ansarinik has announced that the company allocated $1 billion investment for collecting associated petroleum gas (APG) in the Persian Gulf Yadavaran Gas Refinery project.
Ansarinik in the specialized meeting of social responsibility held at the booth of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company at the 20th International Environmental Exhibition, considered sustainable development as a basic principle, and stated: “Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company, which was founded around half a century ago, is built with social responsibility as its building block, and in fact, this company was established to collect APG, which was previously flared and produced heat and carbon dioxide, and turn them into valuable data-x-items to improve social life.”
He further underlined his company’s projects in the field of environment and social responsibility, and said: “Another project that Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company has invested in is a plan to reduce its emissions in the environment by putting $60 million and Rls. 3,000 billion in it and it is planned to come online by the end of the next Iranian calendar year to March 2024.
