Poland’s Euroshorts Screens 2 Iranian Films

TEHRAN (Honaronline) - “Roya” and “ Nazpari” , Mohammad Reza Mohammadi’s two short flicks, Will be screened at Euroshorts International Film Festival from November 28 until December 4, 2022, in Gdansk, Poland.
As the publicist reports, “Roya” and “Nazpari” two films directed by Mohammad Reza Mohammadi, will compete in the International Section of the 31st Euroshorts International Film Festival.
The Young Cinema Foundation film festival, later named Euroshorts, was created in 1992 in Warsaw, Poland, followed by the international short film contest - 7 years later. The festival aims to promote and support young artists. Euroshorts has shown over 2,000 films made by young filmmakers so far and has been awarded the best ones. Euroshorts had the pleasure of visiting over 100 cities in Poland. It allowed the festival to create many opportunities for dialogue between artists and viewers. Many of the festival’s participants had significant success in their artistic careers. Since 2011, the premiere events of the festival have taken place in Gdansk.
“Nazpari” , the first short film of Mohammad Reza Mohammadi, narrates the story of a little girl who is trying to prevent her forced marriage.
“Roya”, the second directing experience of Mohammad Reza Mohammadi, is about an Afghan man and his wife who want to cross the borders illegally and reach Europe. But in a sensetive situation they face irreparable problem.
“Roya” had its world premiere at the 73rd Montecatini Film Festival on November 2, 2022. Also, “Roya” was recognized as the best Narrative short film at Brazil’s 8th Bahia Independent Cinema Festival.
“Nazperi” has also been selected for festivals such as Chelkinofest, Sama International Film Festival, Stuff MX Film Festival, Binisaya Film Festival, So-Art Festival, and Better World Film Festival.
Mohammad Reza Mohammadi is a graduate of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society.
The 31st edition of the International Euroshorts Film Festival will take place on November 28 until December 4, 2022, in Gdansk, Poland.
